Advantech-DLoG, a leading company for industrial computers, will use LogiMAT trade fair to present the latest developments of industrial computers and vehicle terminals for critical logistics applications.

LogiMAT in Stuttgart is the biggest trade fair for intralogistics solutions that improve processes in industry and is going to be held from March 13 to 15, 2018. Advantech-DLoG can be found in Hall 8 stand F19.

The use under extreme environmental conditions places very special demands on the devices utilised. Advantech-DLoG´s logistics terminals are not just fully rugged; they also run on multiple operating systems and communicate seamlessly with the server thanks to IGEL OS, a company statement said.

VEHICLE TERMINALS

The challenges in logistics are constantly growing. The time factor is becoming increasingly critical. In order to reduce costs, the equipment and systems must be correspondingly efficient. The vehicle terminals from Advantech-DLoG meet the increasing demands and are mobile, multi-OS capable and connected. They are just as quickly installed as exchanged and usable in any environment, it said.

“In terms of the diverse system landscape, ouccr vehicle terminals not only run on one operating System, like Windows, they can also run Linux or Android,” the company said. When products phase out and run out of support, Advantech-DLoG devices can be easily attached to existing brackets using adapter kits. The sleek server solution, IGEL, unifies the user experience on all integrated terminals, simplifies administration and enables the spontaneous establishment of new operating points. “With IGEL, remote management for 10,000 devices is as easy as it is for 10.”

AFTER THE LOGIMAT

As soon as the trade fair ends, Advantech-DLoG starts thinking about the next one. The insights gained are evaluated and incorporated in new and further developments. For years, Advantech-DLoG relies more and more on partner solutions and works on joint logistics concepts for the future.

“Anyone who is not at LogiMAT as a manufacturer is not active in the market” said Manfred Lachauer, general manager of Advantech-DLoG. The trade fair is the ideal opportunity for him to observe trends and the competition, as well as to network intensively.
