Byrne provides blast-resistant modular containers

One of the largest equipment rental companies in the GCC, Byrne, has opened its sixth branch in Saudi Arabia, in Turaif, and is planning to launch two more depots in the kingdom, in Ras Al Khair and Jizan.

From its Jubail head office, Byrne supports branch operations in Al Khobar and Yanbu. Further branches are located across the country in Riyadh, Jeddah and most recently a sixth operational depot opened in Turaif. The newest depot is located on the Northern border area of Saudi Arabia, where Byrne has seen increased demand for its rental products and services.

Besides Saudi Arabia, the company has branches spread across the GCC region – in UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait.

Byrne provides high quality equipment rental solutions to a range of industries throughout Saudi Arabia including oil and gas, construction, marine, and events. Earlier this year Byrne launched a hoist and mast climbing work platform division. Teaming up with market leaders Alimak Hek, Byrne is supplying a full range of hoists. This product range is designed to deliver improved operational efficiency with full safety features, when working at heights. The high-speed, high efficiency construction hoists are an ideal solution for passenger and material handling on site.

Byrne’s hoist divisional head Simon Hickson says: “This is an exciting new product addition for Byrne’s business and I’m looking forward to bringing the Byrne brand to clients to meet their hoist and access needs. With a growing rental market in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, we are delighted to work with Alimak Hek offering customised rental solutions. Alimak Hek’s machinery is well designed and backed up with long experience of working with customers in more than 90 countries around the world.”

To protect both people and equipment, Byrne provides blast-resistant modular buildings. They are available in single or multi-unit modules that are ready for immediate deployment and fitted out to the highest standard. Certified with a blast rating of up to 10 PSI with a duration of up to 200 MS, the buildings are API compliant.

At the end of last year, Byrne saw its first deployment of a newly launched fleet of forklift trucks in Saudi Arabia at a large-scale industrial plant project in Jeddah. The company provided a unique option by offering an operational lease on forklifts specifically catering to the client’s operational needs, with attachments including load stabilisers and multi-load handlers for smoother and safer operations. The process involved close engagement with the site operations team to fully understand their exact needs before developing a solution that delivered not just operational efficiency and handling capacity for their products but also an attractive model for cost control over the hire period. The contract removed risks from unforeseen circumstances which could affect the customers operations both in terms of equipment failure and associated costs.

Certified to industry standards and able to be deployed at short notice, ‘plug and play’ skid mounted steam boilers have been widely used by Byrne’s customers in Jubail and Yanbu. The boilers are designed with each 5 tonne boiler fitted on 12 m by 3 m skid constituting a water tank, diesel tank, and a power generator – making it self-sufficient. Multiple boilers can be interconnected via manifolds and hoses.

Byrne’s desire to work and grow in tandem with the growing economy of Saudi Arabia is helping it to become part of the infrastructure framework in the industry. By providing a consistently high level of customer care combined with sound technical advice and a solution to meet every industrial need, Byrne is leading the field in the rental industry.
