Kanoo Oil & Gas, a division of YBA Kanoo Group, has signed an assembler agreement with BRDR Christensen of Denmark for the local assembly of lubricated plug valves in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement was signed during a recent visit by a high-level management delegation from BRDR Christensen, which included Kurt Erling Bang Christensen- chairman; Thomas V Christensen – chief executive officer; and Dennis W Larsen – chief commercial officer.

Dr Chenel: creating milestones

Group CEO of YBA Kanoo, Dr Patrick Chenel said: “This assembly facility for plug valves is the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia and an important milestone for Kanoo Oil & Gas as it enhances our capabilities and helps us to be a more effective contributor to the In-Kingdom Total Value Add (IKTVA) programme of Saudi Arabia.”

BRDR Christensen is a privately-owned company located in Denmark founded in 1942 and has been setting manufacturing standards for plug valves for more than 50 years and has obtained a unique “first choice” status amongst the leading companies in the oil and gas industry across the globe, said a statement.

During this visit, BRDR servicing team also conducted the plug valve repair and assembly hands-on training for Kanoo Oil & Gas technical staff, as a part of the authorised service agreement and assembler agreement. BRDR Christensen imparted the training at the Kanoo Oil & Gas Dammam workshop facility.
