Steel Pioneers Factory (SPF), located in Jubail Industrial City in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia, is known for its quality of products and on time delivery.

Within a short span of five years, the company has established itself as a reliable supplier of quality products in Saudi Arabia.

The company, which started operations in 2011, has state of-the-art facilities to produce downstream steel products, as per international standards, which includes fusion bonded epoxy coated bars (FBECR); welded wire mesh (black, galvanised and epoxy coated); prefabricated reinforcement steel bars (cut and bend products of both black and epoxy coated); cold rolled rebar-in-coils; and plain bars.

Apart from the above-mentioned products, it also supplies reinforcement steel bars, plain wire rod and rebar-in-coils of various sizes.

SPF was established by Abdullah J Al Ghamdi, a veteran, who has more than 35 years’ experience in the steel industry occupying senior positions in reputed companies in Saudi Arabia.

Initially, it was started to cater to the needs of consumers in the Eastern province of Saudi Arabia. Now it serves all over Saudi Arabia with a full range of products to help customers get all their products from one source.

The factory has a total capacity of 20,000 tonnes per month, out of which FBECR line alone has a capacity of over 9,000 tonnes per month.

“We produce epoxy-coated rebars of size 8 mm to 32 mm.  Also we can do cut and bend and spiral bending of epoxy-coated steel,” says a spokesman of the company.

SPF supplies its products to all major civil construction companies, prefabricated building manufacturers, traders/stockists, preformed concrete companies in Saudi Arabia. Its products are used by Saudi Aramco, Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), Maaden, Sabic and many government and private projects all over Saudi Arabia.

It is an authorised dealer for Sabic (Hadeed) for reinforcement steel products and also an approved vendor of Saudi Aramco for fusion bonded epoxy coated rebars.

An ISO 2001:2008 certified company, SPF’s performance in 2015 was exceptionally good compared to 2014.  During 2015, revenue increased 24 per cent compared to year 2014 even-though the price of steel products had come down by 25 per cent. It is expecting similar performance in year 2016 also, both in revenue and sales tonnage.
