Exova wins deal with TataSteel

Exova, a global testing, calibration and advisory services provider, has won a contract with Tata Steel to deliver bespoke in-house testing over the next three years.  Worth over $1.82 million, the deal will see Exova provide mechanical, metallurgical, chemical and corrosion testing, as well as non-destructive testing on-site at Tata Steel’s facility in Deeside, Wales.

 

Mettler to open lab in Dubai

METTLER Toledo, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of weighing instruments for laboratory, industrial and food retailing applications, is set to launch its new competence centre in Dubai, UAE. The centre is an application lab that provides analytical support to developing industries, such as the petrochemical industry, in the Mena region. The facility, located at the Dubai Science Park Laboratory Complex in Dubai, will be inaugurated by Jean-Claude Alder, the general manager of Mettler Toledo Sales (International), on November 9. 

 

Mesa ETP, Ecotech ink deal 

MESA Engineered Tank Products (ETP), a leading manufacturer of engineered products for refineries, terminals and storage tank facilities based in the US, has signed a partnership deal with Ecotech Emirates, a major environmental and petromarine engineering firm based in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. As per the deal, Ecotech will be the sole distributor of Mesa ETP products across the ME region. 

 

Damen Shipyards sets up unit

DAMEN Shipyards Group has signed a concession agreement with the government of Curaçao for the future operation of the current Curaçao Drydock Company. Damen will establish a new company on Curaçao under the name Damen Shiprepair Curaçao, said a statement. It is expected that Damen will start up its operations in the two graven docks and on the available quays end October, it said.

 

GP Strategies, KNPC sign deal

US-BASED GP Strategies Corporation has signed a KD10,894,969 ($36 million) multi- year agreement with Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) for training, documentation and competency development services to support KNPC’s Clean Fuels Project.
