Saudi Arabia-based Al Bassami International Group, a leading company specialised in vehicle transportation, has inaugurated its new branch built at a cost of SR10 million ($2.67 million) in the north of Jeddah.

The new facility will serve visitors to the entire western region, and comes as part of the group’s expansion plan. It accommodates more than 1,000 vehicles a day and occupies an area of 40,000 sq m.

Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Bassami, director general of Al Bassami, said the group will invest a total of SR350 million on various aspects of its operations to stay competitive in the market.

It owed its success to the leadership of the chairman Sheikh Mohammed Mohey Al Bassami, he added.

Al Bassami group has more than 30 branches. It commenced business activities in 1968 and today offers trucks for the movement of cargo as well as services relating to the ferrying of VIPs. The group also has facilities to provide vehicles maintenance.
