The UAE’s Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ) enjoyed great exposure from its participation in two major business conferences in Russia.

Hundreds of business delegates were in attendance at the Intax and CIS Wealth events where the free zone generated awareness about investment opportunities in the enclave.

They served as important platforms for acquainting Russians with RAK FTZ, one of the fastest growing free zones in the Middle East region, said a statement.

Intax took place on two consecutive days last month at Lotte Hotel, Moscow, while the CIS Wealth Conference was held in Ekaterinburg, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, a couple of days later.

Tomas Csobonyei, business development director at RAK FTZ, said the free zone delegation was excited to take part in these major conferences as they helped gain contacts with potential Russian investors and helped promote not just Ras Al Khaimah but the UAE as a whole.

The Russians were apprised that RAK FTZ brings them the most diversified portfolio of investments.

“RAK FTZ offers 100 per cent company ownership, freedom from taxation and customs duty, and tailor-made business solutions for up to 50 per cent lower than elsewhere in the region. Whether they are planning to establish a manufacturing base or a sales office, we can support them in achieving their business’ full potential and at the same time, helping them realise a higher return on investment,” he added.

Csobonyei conveyed useful information on several aspects of the free zone at the events.
