Rabiah & Nassar Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Caparol, opening the German paint firm’s first flagship showroom in Saudi Arabia.

Caparol is a leading provider of building paints in Germany and one of the largest paints suppliers in Europe. As well as paints and glazes, it offers specialised items such as energy-saving thermal insulation composite systems, acoustic systems, building protection products and floor coatings plus products for corrosion protection and concrete repairs.

ZOOMLION DEAL

Rabiah & Nassar also recently entered into an exclusive dealership agreement with Chinese construction-machinery manufacturer Zoomlion to distribute its rough-terrain category of cranes in the kingdom.

Zoomlion is mainly engaged in developing and manufacturing major high-tech equipment in the areas of agricultural, building, energy, environmental and transport engineering. With revenue of over $4 billion, it is the largest equipment manufacturing company in China, and the sixth largest in the world.

Based in Riyadh, Rabiah & Nassar Group, which started off in 1950 as a road-building contractor, has stepped up its diversification process in order to maintain a strong position in the Saudi market despite the prevailing tough economic conditions.

From its humble beginnings, the company has grown to become one of the biggest conglomerates in Saudi Arabia, largely due to its belief in diversification and acquisition of promising businesses.

The group owns 40 per cent of Saudi Steel Pipe Company (SSP), which is placed among the leading Saudi companies in the field of welded steel pipes. These are manufactured by high-frequency induction welding to serve multiple uses that meet the needs of the oil and gas, water and construction sectors.

The pipe company contributes most to the group’s revenues.

The second highest earner in 2015 was a precast factory jointly owned by it and Zamil Group under the name Rabiah-Nassar & Zamil Concrete Industries Ltd.  Known for its engineering capabilities and uncompromising quality in delivering complex structures with excellent architectural finish, Rabiah-Nassar and Zamil has executed many prestigious projects including those for hospitals, hotels, commercial buildings, malls, industrial, wide-span buildings and bridges.

Coming in third in terms of financial contribution is Murostone Tech Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the group. The company offers a full range of different architectural surfaces, with brand names such as Quartstone, Glasstone and Smartstone.
