Al-Raha Group for Technical Services (RGTS) will distribute Honeywell Aerospace aftermarket mechanical and avionics products in the Saudi Arabia following an agreement signed between the two.

RGTS will distribute spare parts for commercial rotary wing and military fixed and rotary wing platforms.

“Honeywell customers within the kingdom will no longer have to wait for ordered parts to be shipped from the United States, and the shortened lead time will reduce the amount of time aircraft and helicopters have to spend on the ground,” said a statement. As a result, the agreement will help increase aircraft availability, ensuring assets are available to deploy as needed.”

Future plans with the company include supporting operators with local technical assistance and providing repair and overhaul services in  Saudi Arabia and aboard, the statement added.

“The agreement with RGTS is an important step in expanding Honeywell’s customer support in the kingdom and continuing its commitment to providing best-in-class service and support to its global customers.”

Honeywell now has three aftermarket suppliers in the Middle East region to help defence customers optimise maintenance, ensure safety and improve operational efficiency.

The agreement was signed by Norm Gilsdorf, Honeywell’s president for Russia, the Midle East and Central Asia, and Yahya Al Saadi, chief executive of RGTS.
