Emerson plant has opened

The new plant in Dammam of Emerson Climate Technologies

Emerson Climate Technologies, a business segment of Emerson, a leading provider of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration solutions for residential, industrial and commercial applications, has opened its new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Dammam.

The new facility, located at the Second Industrial Zone of the Saudi Industrial Property Authority or Modon, is approximately 3,000 sq m in area and fully equipped to produce and assemble various refrigeration condensing units specifically for the Saudi Arabian market.  Additional product lines and services beyond condensing units can be accommodated within the new manufacturing facility.

Robert (Bob) T Sharp, executive vice president and Emerson business leader, Emerson Climate Technologies, inaugurated the new facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“The Middle East and Africa is a key geographical region for Emerson Climate Technologies and a regional focus is an important part of our strategy,” said Sharp. “This is our second manufacturing facility in the region, and we are confident it will help deliver value for our customers in Saudi Arabia.”

Since 2003, when Emerson Climate Technologies started assembling condensing units in Dubai, UAE, customer demand has continually been on the rise. To sustain growth, particularly in Saudi Arabia, Emerson has decided to expand its production and invest in a new, state-of-the-art facility in the kingdom.

“Emerson Climate Technologies is committed to improving customer service in the region. Having a local presence, fostering shorter lead times to customers, and improving customer service levels will truly help deliver the most value for our customers in the kingdom,” said K Jayakumar, vice president, general manager Saudi Arabia.

Emerson, based in St Louis, Missouri (USA), comprises five business segments: Process Management, Industrial Automation, Network Power, Climate Technologies, and Commercial & Residential Solutions. Sales in fiscal 2014 were $24.5 billion.
