THE Ramadan & Eid Fair, one of the longest-running multi-products consumer fairs held during the holy month at Expo Centre Sharjah, will be organised by Al Hader Exhibitions & Conferences from next year.

Expo Centre Sharjah has entered into a tie-up with the Abu Dhabi-based Al Hader to further expand the reach and response of the show.

“Ramadan & Eid Fair is an important event for Expo Centre Sharjah. It is a consistent performer for us, attracting more than 100,000 visitors on an average and registering an impressive double-digit growth every year. In association with Al Hader Exhibitions & Conferences, we are aiming to further expand the scope and scale of the show from next year,” said Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah.

Ramadan & Eid Fair enjoys pride of place among prominent events held in Sharjah and the UAE during the holy month, and is reckoned as the best shopping and entertainment destination of the season.

“We will leverage on the expertise and experience of Al Hader Exhibitions & Conferences in making it a truly regional event... an event that is highly anticipated and meets the aspirations and requirements of a growing market,” added Al Midfa.

The agreement is a significant one for Expo Centre Sharjah, which is aiming to open up its facilities to external organisers following the addition of more space and other facilities in the recent past.

For Al Hader Exhibitions & Conferences, which organises most of its shows in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, the 29th Ramadan & Eid Fair in 2015 will mark its foray into Sharjah.

“Ramadan & Eid Fair will be our first event in Sharjah. The tie-up with Expo Centre Sharjah comes within our objective of developing the exhibitions industry in the UAE by organising events that are highly sought after by specific industries and customers,” said Naser Al Bahri, general manager, Al Hader Exhibitions & Conferences.

“Ramadan & Eid Fair is an interesting event that combines shopping with a carnival-like atmosphere interspersed with cookery, heritage, charity, religious, health and amusement activities and programmes and raffle draws. We see a lot of scope to add more value and features to the show, thus making it much more appealing to the audience,” he added.
