Participation in Indian trade events and the winning of awards and accolades this year from authorities in Vietnam and the UAE have ramped up Saudi-based Zamil Steel’s appeal overseas.

Hundreds of visitors had a look at Zamil Steel’s offerings at the Roof India Exhibition, Asia’s largest roofing and allied products event, which took place in Mumbai, and the India Warehousing Show 2013, the largest event for India’s logistics industry, held in New Delhi.

Roof India, endorsed by several international and national associations, featured more than 150 exhibitors from the roofing and allied products industries of India and other countries. Approximately 500 people visited the Zamil Steel India display booth to learn more about the innovative products and services presented there.

The India Warehousing Show 2013 was conducted by Reed Manch Exhibitions. The total exhibition area spanned more than 8,900 sq m and hosted more than 170 exhibitors, including participants from India and companies from China, Italy, Germany, Japan, the Middle East, Taiwan and the US, as well as thousands of trade visitors from all over the world. Nearly 400 visitors frequented the Zamil Steel India exhibition booth, and the show provided company representatives with ample opportunities to network with many influential logistics experts and warehousing developers. Sessions at a warehousing conference linked to the show enabled participants to share information about best managerial practices, operational standards and cost reduction methods.

Projects that Zamil Steel has completed in India include factory buildings for Thermax Babcok Wilcox Energy Solutions, Shimuzu Corporation, JK Paper and McNally Sayaji Engineering.

Zamil Steel has a factory in the western Indian city of Pune that produces pre-engineered steel buildings. Among five other PEB producing plants of Zamil Steel overall, the main plant is in Dammam, where the company has its global headquarters. Two plants are located in Vietnam and one each operate in Egypt and Ras Al Khaimah (UAE). The combined production capacity of these factories exceeds 10 million sq m per year. Since its inception in 1977 in Saudi Arabia, Zamil Steel has supplied more than 65,000 buildings to over 90 countries worldwide.
