Scene at the Saudi Energy exhibition in Riyadh

MORE than 200 local and foreign energy firms and 7,100 trade visitors were present at the four-day Saudi Energy event at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“Saudi Energy 2013 provided a comprehensive technology showcase covering all energy sectors from electricity generation and distribution to alternative and renewable energy technologies; modern lighting products and technologies; water and water resources management technologies; and HVAC,” its organiser Riyadh Exhibitions Company said.

“Complementing the unprecedented growth of Saudi Arabia’s energy sector, Saudi Energy has again proved to be the destination of choice for all stakeholders in the energy sector including government officials, investors and buyers,” it said.

Exhibitors from Austria, Bahrain, China, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and the UAE attended the trade event. China, Korea, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the UAE had national pavilions.

Saudi Energy 2013 comprised four of Saudi Arabia’s top energy-related shows: Saudi Elenex: the 16th International Electrical Engineering, Power Generation and Distribution Exhibition; Saudi Luminex 2013: the 13th International Lighting Equipment Show; Saudi Aircon 2013: the 14th International Exhibition on Air-Conditioning Heating, Ventilation and Refrigeration; and Saudi Water Tech: the 10th International Exhibition for Water Technology.

Saudi Energy is certified by the UFI, the France-based Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.

Held under the patronage of the Minister of Water and Electricity, Abdullah Bin Abdulrahman Al Hussayen, Saudi Energy was inaugurated by the Deputy Minister for Electricity, Dr. Saleh Bin Hussein Al Awaji.
