Jacobs wins Aramco contract
JACOBS Engineering Group, one of the world’s largest providers of technical, professional, and construction services, said it has won a major contract from Saudi Aramco Lubricating Oil Refining Company (Luberef) to provide project management consulting (PMC) services for an expansion project at its lube oil refinery in Yanbu, which is estimated to cost $1 billion.

Luberef is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Jadwa Industrial Investment and is one of the world’s leading suppliers of high-quality base oil.

 

New Cyclo range launched
DISTRIBUTOR Ebrahim K Kanoo has announced it will bring to Bahrain a new range of US firm’s Cyclo Industries’ special products.

Cyclo says its line of cleaners, lubricants and additives deliver 15-20 per cent cost savings and enhanced performance.

The products are used in heavy-duty equipment, truck, marine and industrial applications.

 

Two beverage firms formed
THE Coca-Cola Company and Aujan Group Holding have announced the formation of two beverage firms – the Aujan Coca-Cola Beverages Company and Rani Refreshments.

This follows Coca-Cola’s recent investment into approximately half of Aujan’s beverage business.

Rani Refreshments will hold the global rights to brands such as Rani and Barbican, while the Aujan Coca-Cola Beverages Company will be an authorised manufacturer and distributer of its products. The Aujan Coca-Cola Beverages Company will also be the licensed manufacturer in the Middle East of Vimto.

 

Kanoo firm wins DP award
KANOO Machinery, a member of the Kanoo Group, has received DP World’s Top Vendor Award held recently at DP World-Jebel Ali, Dubai.

The accolade was initiated by DP world in recognition of Kanoo Machinery’s exemplary performance and ongoing contribution towards the global ports operator’s UAE’s success in 2012.
